When all there is to do in a thread for the characters is to chat and make merry (any challenges having been dealt with) we will offer the characters to give us a summary of what they will do in one complete post in PM, preferably written totally IC so that it may be easily included in a larger write up. In game terms this is what is known as a "round robin" post.

Alternatively we might simply end a thread with a small paragraph to indicate nothing more noteworthy happened. For Example:

They spend a pleasant afternoon chatting before they bid each other good day.
