Edward is tall, standing at 6’1 and blessed with classically handsome looks. His dark hair naturally hangs down to his shoulders. With hooded hazel eyes, a fine aquiline nose and thin lips he often looks serious.

Edward is generally rather serious and brooding. A stoic individual, more likely to observe from the sidelines with hands clasped behind his back then leading everyone else in merriment.

Background

With his father, the Marquis of Sherborne, gravely ill, Edward expects to inherit his title in the near future. His two younger siblings, Alice and Francis, have now joined him at court. Edward has need of a wife to ensure his succession.

At the beginning of 1676 he was promoted to the of Master of the King's Horse in the Privy Council. Edward is a renowned art collector and rumour has it his recent rise has much to do with his tireless work towards seeing the lost art collection of Charles I once more gathered together for Charles II. With such an avid interest in art it naturally follows that he is close friends with the famed artist Peter Lely
