Background

The son of General George Monck, the 1st Duke of Albemarle. Once known as one of the "Young Dukes" together with Monmouth and Somerset as they roamed London with their friends wearing masks and behaving as rakehells. Now, all too soon, maturity has hit, against his liking.

He married Lady Elizabeth Cavendish 11 months after his coming into his title, he was 16, she 15. As yet there are no children. When in London, he and his wife reside in Clarenden House, in Piccadilly.

Christopher has recently been promoted to colonel of the King's Life Guard.
